Meet the owner
You speak to the engineer who fixes it
Ring WRS and you get Ciaran Weir, the engineer who'll fix it. Not a call centre.
Ciaran trained through the Level 3 Refrigeration apprenticeship at SERC and holds an HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. He set up Weir Refrigeration Services in 2022, and today the WRS team works on everything from transcritical CO2 plant and ammonia systems to cold rooms, controls and air conditioning.
F-Gas in Northern Ireland
Still running R404A? What the 2025 servicing ban means for you
Since 1 January 2025, new high-GWP refrigerant like R404A can't be used to service larger refrigeration systems. In Northern Ireland the rules come from the EU F-Gas Regulation, not the GB regime.

Do you really answer 24/7?
Yes. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Out of hours, call anyway: you'll reach the engineer.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, and work UK-wide: across Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
Are you F-Gas certified?
Yes. Weir Refrigeration Services LTD is an F-Gas certified company, registered with REFCOM: certificate no. REF1025094, valid until July 2029. It covers stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment.
Do you work on equipment you didn't install?
Yes. We service and repair most commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning, whoever installed it, including CO2 and ammonia plant.
Is the survey and quote free?
Yes. For planned work we offer a free survey and quote. For breakdowns, we'll explain the fault and the cost before any major repair.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We have three maintenance plans, from planned servicing to priority breakdown cover. See maintenance plans.
