Refrigeration Plant Relocation and Recommissioning in NI

Move refrigeration packs and plant to a new site, safely and legally.

Moving to a new site, or reusing good plant somewhere else, can save a lot of money compared with buying new. But it has to be done properly.

We recover the refrigerant, remove the plant, reinstall it at the new site, then pipe, wire, recharge and commission it.

What we do

  • Refrigerant recovery and safe decommissioning
  • Removal, transport planning and reinstallation
  • New pipework, brazing and electrical connections
  • Pressure testing, evacuation and recharging
  • Commissioning and handover records
  • Reuse of existing equipment, or supply of second-hand or new equipment

Records and compliance

Recovered refrigerant is handled and recorded in line with the F-Gas rules.

Questions about plant relocation

Is it worth moving old plant?

Often, yes, if the equipment is in good condition and uses a refrigerant with a future. We'll tell you honestly if it isn't worth it.

Have you done this before?

Yes. A recent project involved removing a refrigeration pack from one site and reinstalling it at another: fully piped, wired, recharged and back in operation.

How long will the plant be out of action?

It depends on the size of the job. We plan the move to keep downtime as short as possible.

Can you handle the refrigerant?

Yes. We recover it, record it and recharge the system at the new site.
