Leak checks, repairs and records under the F-Gas rules that apply in NI.
If your system holds enough F-gas refrigerant, the law says it must be leak-checked regularly, and the records kept.
In Northern Ireland, those rules come from EU F-Gas Regulation (EU) 2024/573, which applies here under the Windsor Framework. Great Britain has its own, separate F-Gas regime. We work UK-wide, to whichever rules apply to your site.
Weir Refrigeration Services LTD is an F-Gas certified company (REFCOM, certificate no. REF1025094). We help operators meet their leak-checking and record-keeping duties.

It depends on how much refrigerant it holds, measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent (CO2e). Systems from 5 t CO2e need checks. Read our F-Gas guide or call us.
From 5 t CO2e: every 12 months. From 50 t: every 6 months. From 500 t: every 3 months. Where a leak detection system is fitted, the intervals are doubled.
The operator of the equipment (usually the business) must keep records for at least 5 years. We complete them after every visit.
Not quite. In Northern Ireland the EU F-Gas Regulation applies directly. Great Britain runs a separate regime. We work UK-wide and follow whichever rules apply to your site.
